the whole idea of this country was that authority would be MOST delegated at the lowest level possible, that communities, counties , and states could make laws, regulations, and restrictions as best suited them...again at the lowest relevant level. So a community organization like a homeowner association would have the authority to tell you what color your house must be painted if you wish to live in their community. If you don't like it, you can live in another community. Communities that have too many rules and are PITAs would flounder and flop as they ran off prospective residents, less hasslesome communities would flourish. This is precisely the idea. Now, we have this notion, which you seem to adopt to an extent, that this sort of authority is more suited for the people at the very top, namely the federal government. That is EXACTLY the opposite of the principles written about by the nations founders and other influential colonists. I would hope more folks can see why you cannot give the highest levels of government ever increasing authority over more and more areas of individual citizens lives and daily decisions.
